IDC Japan の調査によると、 2005年7月から2006年6月の日本の RISC（Reduced Instruction Set Computer）サーバー市場は1,364億円規模、その中の25％を IBM System p が占めてナンバーワンだ。続く富士通と HP がそれぞれ22％、僅差で Sun が21％。
